WiFi QR codes use the standard WIFI: URI scheme supported by both iOS and Android. When scanned, the phone prompts the user to connect to the network automatically -- no manual typing of passwords required.

Is the WiFi password visible in the QR code?
The password is encoded in the QR data. Someone with a QR decoder app could extract it, so treat it the same as a printed password.

Yes -- check the 'Hidden network' box and the QR will include the hidden flag so the phone knows to search for it.
What phones support WiFi QR codes?
All iPhones with iOS 11+ and all Android phones with Android 10+ can scan WiFi QR codes with the built-in camera.
Can I print it?
